Statewide Shelter-in-Place Order
Kemp announced a statewide shelter-in-place order that went into effect
on Friday, April 3rd, 2020 at 6:00 PM. That means all of us must stay home except as
provided in the Executive Order.
I appreciate the Governor's actions as a step in the right direction, given
the rapidly evolving nature of the pandemic.
order will remain in effect through April 13th, the day our
current state of emergency declaration expires. Governor Kemp has the
ability to renew Georgia’s state of emergency by another thirty days, which
includes extending the shelter-in-place order.
