The makeup of House District 44 is diverse.  Going from north to south, the district stretches from Cumberland Mall at I-285 and US Hwy 41 to Collier Heights south of I-20.  The shape of the district has changed some over the years, but historically, the district has been divided into two parts by the Chattahoochee River, the northern part being in Cobb County and the southern part in Fulton County and the City of Atlanta.
